WIN News Sunshine Coast featured STEPS Café on George in a recent story, interviewing STEPS team members and participants to explore the positive impact that the non-profit Caloundra café is generating.
Through STEPS Pathways College, or its standalone Cookery Skills and Café Skills programs, young people with a disability and autism are taking part in transformative training that gives them an array of job-ready skills and experiences while preparing them for a more independent future.
In this video, you’ll hear from participants Chloe and Joshua, as well as CEO and Principal of STEPS Pathways College and Social Enterprise Stephanie Patey and STEPS Hospitality Coordinator Ian Jacobsen.
STEPS Café on George is a STEPS social business open to the public and available for group bookings and pick-up catering options. It is also a training environment providing young people with a disability and autism with skills for employment.
Every dollar spent at the café goes towards creating opportunities for independence for young people with a disability and autism.
STEPS Café on George is open from 8am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. Visit the STEPS Café on George website to browse the menu and learn more about the cause behind the social business.
