Founded by Carmel Crouch AM after four decades of tireless advocacy, STEPS Pathways College gives young people with a disability and autism the real-world skills, confidence and experience to live fulfilling and independent lives.
The modern campus is located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and encompasses both the Day College and Boarding College. Both offer a holistic curriculum with ten key areas of learning, all designed to empower our students to live well and help them reach their goals.
We cover everything from healthy cooking and cleaning skills to mental health care, self-advocacy, tenancy skills, and much more. This is not charity. This is essential, lifechanging education.

Carmel’s story
Carmel Crouch AM is the driving force behind STEPS Pathways College, the first and only college of its kind in Australia. It is the result of decades of disability advocacy, inspired by Carmel’s wish to see her son have the same opportunities as any other young person.
She has created a national community, united by a mission to rewrite the future for people with a disability and autism.

One in five Australians live with a disability. One in six adults with a disability live in poverty, and people with a disability are more than twice as likely to be unemployed. STEPS Pathways College is striving to change those statistics, one student at a time. Every donation directly funds lifechanging independence education, giving our students skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. You have the power to create a brighter future by donating to STEPS Pathways Charity.
